Sydney artist Max Jardany (Dual Citizen, my dad is car) is releasing his debut album as a solo artist. Titled Incorporeal, the album is an exploration of anxiety, intrusive thoughts and negative coping mechanisms through dissociative ambient pop.

Incorporeal merges the queer, outsider pop mentality of Dual Citizen - his project with Sydney multimedia artist Jack De Lacy (Concrete Lawn, Australian Idol and Ex-Rental) - with the strong sense of introversion and isolation inherent in solo works. Inspired the works of auteur artists like Bradford Cox (Deerhunter, Atlas Sound), Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and Avey Tare (Animal Collective), Max Jardany merges these influences into a hazy and dissociative album that tackles negative emotions and behaviours as a result of mental struggle.
